Large animal nursing at VetCon 202008 Oct 2019
There will be large animal nursing lectures at VetCon 2020 on the 28th and 29th May at Fota Island Resort, Cork. Farm animal lectures will feature in Thursday’s nursing stream and equine lectures will be part of the advanced nursing stream on Friday.
On Thursday 28th May nurses will learn more from bovine health specialist Sara Pedersen about their important role in mixed and farm animal practice in recognising and highlighting lameness on dairy farms. In addition, farm vet Cathal Ó Sé will advise on how to better deal with farm client queries, requests and calf first aid during a busy spring period.
The advanced nursing stream on Friday 29th May will include lectures on foal critical care and foal nursing from Mary Wade, Anlesey Lodge Equine Hospital. For nurses working exclusively in equine practice there will a unique opportunity to learn more relevant equine nursing content.
