Tributes paid to friend, colleague and mentor, Louise O’ Dwyer

Yesterday, we were deeply saddened to learn of the unexpected passing of our lovely friend, colleague and mentor, Louise O’ Dwyer.  Her contribution to veterinary nursing is beyond measure and her achievements in the veterinary profession are an inspiration.

We were truly honoured to have Louise as our mentor and guide when designing the nursing lecture programme for VetCon 2018 and again for 2019.  Without her expert input it would not have been the same.

Louise has undoubtedly informed and inspired veterinary nurses in Ireland and across the globe.  Sitting in one of her lectures, Louise’s ability to command and hold the room on her every word, no matter what the subject, was truly remarkable.

We are thinking of Louise, her family and all her friends at this sad time.
