VetCon 2018 – Ireland’s most exciting veterinary conference16 Jan 2018
With over 170 delegates already registered, VetCon 2018 will be the largest one-day small animal veterinary conference and industry exhibition to be held in Ireland this year.
VetCon 2018 is Ireland’s newest CPD event for veterinary surgeons, veterinary nurses and veterinary students. The event takes place at the five-star Fota Island Resort, Cork, on Friday 16th February.
The diverse range of lecture topics across both veterinary and nursing streams are to be delivered by expert speakers. The speakers bring a vast wealth of experience in their respective fields to VetCon 2018, and will present a selection of the newest information and knowledge available in the fields of veterinary medicine, surgery, diagnostic imaging, practice management and workplace health.
A specialist panel discussion, chaired by renowned specialist surgeon Shane Guerin, of Gilabbey Veterinary Hospital, will conclude the veterinary stream of the conference. Topics for discussion include recent advancements in the Brachycephalic Obstructive Airway Syndrome - a syndrome which has been highlighted in the media recently by the British Small Animal Veterinary Association’s #BreedtoBreathe campaign.
The trade exhibition at VetCon 2018 begins in the morning as delegates are welcomed to the event with complimentary breakfast on arrival. A broad range of products, equipment and services will be on display at the exhibition. There will be a prize-draw for delegates who visit all the stands during the course of the day.
There will be ample opportunity at VetCon 2018 for delegates to socialise and catch up with friends and colleagues. There will be live music during the lunch break to add to the enjoyment of the day!
We’re looking forward to VetCon 2018; we hope you are too. See you there!
