VetCon 2020 – Rescheduled to May 202127 Apr 2020
Your VetCon 2020 delegate ticket purchases and exhibitor bookings will remain valid for VetCon 2021.
The world continues to fight against the COVID-19 global pandemic. In these unprecedented and unpredictable times, we commend the valiant efforts of our government, the World Health Organisation, healthcare workers and all the other frontline staff who work tirelessly to regain control of our health, our lives and our economy.
Veterinary practices continue to provide 24-hour care to pets, pet owners, horses and horse owners, farmers and livestock. In many cases, veterinary practices have had to be quite creative in continuing to provide this care. Performing video and telephone consultations and examining patients while owners remain in the car park has now become the norm! It is challenging on farm, when dealing with large animals, to ensure social distance is maintained. It is vital as veterinary professionals however, that the importance of these COVID-19 measures are emphasised and encouraged while visiting stables, yards and farms.
VetCon 2020 has been rescheduled to Thursday 27th and Friday 28th May 2021. We hope you enjoyed the VetCon@Home webinars – the recordings will be available online soon!
Originally, a rescheduled September date was announced on social media on the 20th March, prior to the implementation of movement restrictions and other control measures by the Irish government. It was a very straightforward decision at the time, as the health and safety of delegates, exhibitors and the entire VetCon team take priority.
